Free Medical Camp

UM Healthcare Trust in collaboration with NUST organized a medical camp for the poor and received an overwhelming response. Over 500 patients showed up (50% females) from neighboring villages to our health facility in rural Mardan, NWFP (200 KM north of Islamabad).

We also distributed free medicines to the poor and needy and treated them through a group of volunteer doctors at near zero cost (US$0.40/patient or PKR 30/patient).

The facility in village Zahidabad, Mardan District, NWFP, is now treating close to 2,000 patients in a month with majority of the patients being female.
