Free Medical Camp for IDPs

UM Healthcare Trust in collaboration with NUST, APPNA and other stake holders has begun a massive healthcare relief effort for IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) streaming in from Buner and Swat. The efforts are based out of our medical facility in village Zahidabad, rural Mardan District and 4 km from the town of Rustum (NWFP, Pakistan). A total of 150 patients were treated during the day by medical doctors. 25 of the patients were then selected for free eye surgery. This is the first of its kind eye camp of its kind in the area. We hope to hold more of such camps in the near future.
